45 cadets of National Cadet Corps (NCC) of Tetso College, Dimapur undertook a Cleanliness Drive in one of the most visited tourist spot of the region, Dzukou Valley. Cadets of 1 Nagaland Battalion NCC and 24 Nagaland (I) Company under the aegis of Group HQ Kohima participated in the cleanliness driver organised to commemorate the World Wildlife Day.
The cadets took it as a challenge and volunteered to carry out a massive area cleanliness drive lasting for two days on 8 Mar to 09 March 2025. The NCC cadets also observed the World Wildlife Day during this drive on 09 March 2025 with a pledge to be messengers of Wild Life Protection and Preservation, simultaneously preserving the ecological Bio diversity.
The event was officially launched on 06 March 2025 at Tetso College by the Principal and Director, who encouraged NCC cadets to be leaders in sustainability and conservation. They emphasized how young people can play a crucial role in preserving natural heritage and ensuring cleaner, greener surroundings.
With the inherent discipline and leadership qualities imbibed during NCC training, NCC cadets have been coming forth with regular community development and social development programmes for meaningful engagement of the youth, in line with the national vision of “Yuva Shakti – Viksit Bharat”.
