The North Eastern Cultural and Social Institute, a significant project aimed at fostering cultural and social development, has reached an 18% completion milestone as of February 27, 2024. Today marked a pivotal moment as the Monitoring Committee MHA, in conjunction with officials from MDoNER, SPUNER, NEC, CPWD, contractors, and the engineering team, convened at the construction site to oversee progress firsthand.
The envisioned institute is slated to house a plethora of facilities, including a 1000-capacity auditorium, two seminar halls, a library-cum-reading room, an art gallery, an exhibition hall, a research center, sales outlets, a guest house, a handloom display, a food court, and a banquet hall, among other amenities.
Expressing gratitude, stakeholders extended sincere thanks to the Government, including the Home Ministry, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER), and the North Eastern Council (NEC) for their unwavering support which has been instrumental in driving the project forward.
The institute symbolizes the culmination of tireless and collaborative efforts dating back to 2014. From its inception, it has been a testament to the dedication and cooperation among governmental bodies, agencies, contractors, and engineers involved in its realization.
As the construction progresses, the North Eastern Cultural and Social Institute is poised to emerge as a beacon of cultural exchange, social engagement, and academic research in the region, promising to enrich the socio-cultural of northeast in Delhi, and beyond.
