NCC Cadets from JK&L Directorate Earn Honors in Para Basic Course at AATS Agra

The cadets from the Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh Directorate showed remarkable dedication and determination throughout the course. Their performance brought pride to their colleges and emphasized the spirit of adventure and determination that the NCC instills in its cadets.

Cadets from the Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh NCC Directorate have earned honors for their outstanding performance in the prestigious Para Basic Course held at the Army Airborne Training School (AATS), Agra. The stringent training, conducted from November 1 to November 25, 2024, was organized under the aegis of the NCC Group Headquarters, Agra, and focused on sharpening airborne skills while building resilience and teamwork.

Among the participants, three cadets from the Directorate distinguished themselves: Sgt Anjana Parihar, Government Degree College(Kishtwar), UG Tofail Jan, Government Degree College (Doda), and Cadet Laxmi Devi, Government Degree College (Kathua).

The course included an array of meticulously designed activities including:

  • November 1-14: The cadets underwent intensive ground training, mastering basic airborne techniques and operational skills.  
  • - November 17: A cultural visit to the Taj Mahal provided a rejuvenating break from the demanding schedule.  
  • - November 19: Ground training pinnacled in challenging assessments, including the Ground Training Test and the Fan Descent Test, both of which were successfully cleared by all cadets.  
  • - November 20-22: The course climaxed with day jumps at the Malpura Drop Zone, where cadets displayed their parachuting skills with precision and confidence.

Adding to the cadets' inspiration, Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh, Director General of the NCC, visited on November 19. His interaction inspired the trainees to strive for excellence in all their endeavors.

The cadets from the Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh Directorate showed remarkable dedication and determination throughout the course. Their performance brought pride to their colleges and emphasized the spirit of adventure and determination that the NCC instills in its cadets.

The Directorate extended its gratitude to AATS, Agra, and NCC Group Headquarters, Agra, for organizing such a well-structured and impactful program. This experience not only provided the cadets with valuable skills but also created memories they will cherish for a lifetime.

The success of these cadets echoes the relentless efforts of the NCC to nurture leadership and discipline in young individuals, preparing them to take on challenges with enthusiasm and perseverance. (PR)
