Sainik School Nagrota has made its mark once again by winning the Best Band Trophy (Boys) at the 76th Republic Day Parade held at Maulana Azad Stadium, Jammu.
The trophy was presented by Shri Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, to Lt Col Amit Selot, Officiating Principal, and Cadet Uday Kumar, Band Contingent Captain, during the Beating Retreat Ceremony on January 29, 2025.
The school band, trained under Ex-Hav Showkat Ahmed Khan, impressed the audience with their well-coordinated movements and beautiful music. Their disciplined and energetic performance helped them win this prestigious award.
Capt (Indian Navy) Shibu Devasia, Principal of Sainik School Nagrota, praised the band members for their hard work and dedication. He said, “This is a proud moment for all Nagrotians. Our cadets’ efforts and determination have once again brought glory to our school.”
