On the 49th Raising Day of the Indian Coast Guard (ICG), Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the force for its hard work in protecting India's coastline. He thanked them for their role in ensuring maritime safety, preventing illegal activities, and helping during disasters.
PM Modi shared a message on social media, congratulating the Coast Guard for its dedication and bravery. He said their work in protecting the seas, preserving the environment, and helping during emergencies is very important. He also noted how the ICG has been praised internationally for helping other countries when needed.
President Droupadi Murmu also sent her congratulations. She recognized the ICG’s important role in protecting India’s shores from threats like piracy and helping with disaster relief. She expressed confidence that the Coast Guard will continue to serve with commitment and excellence.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also congratulated the Coast Guard for its work in safeguarding India’s coastline. He thanked them for fighting illegal activities like smuggling and providing rescue services. He expressed hope that as the Coast Guard moves toward its 50th anniversary, it will continue to meet the challenges ahead.
