Indian Army Heroically Rescues Civilians in Truck Collision on Srinagar National Highway

Three civilians, including the driver and co-driver, were injured. Army medical personnel provided first aid, stabilizing the victims before transferring them to the District Hospital in Ramban for further treatment.

In a swift response to a road accident on the Srinagar National Highway near Nachlana, Ramban, the Indian Army rescued three civilians involved in a truck collision at approximately 9:40 AM today. The accident occurred when two trucks collided, injuring both the driver and co-driver of one vehicle. In addition, one of the trucks struck an empty Indian Army vehicle parked below a Road Opening Party (ROP) picket, causing minor damage to the military vehicle. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among Army personnel.

An Indian Army Medical Officer and his team quickly arrived at the scene, providing immediate medical assistance to the injured civilians. The victims were evacuated to the battalion’s Medical Inspection (MI) Room, where first aid was administered, stabilizing their condition. Following initial treatment, the injured civilians were transferred to the District Hospital in Ramban for further medical care.

The prompt action of the Indian Army team ensured the timely treatment and evacuation of the accident victims, highlighting their commitment to assisting civilians in emergency situations.(pr)
