To help more young people join the Agniveer recruitment scheme, the Army Recruitment Officer held two outreach programs at Choumukedima, Nagaland, on January 30 and 31, 2025. The programs were organized in collaboration with Patkai Christian College and ICFAI University.
Over 205 students attended the sessions, including 135 boys and 70 girls. The programs focused on explaining the Agnipath recruitment scheme, its benefits, and the opportunities available for those who want to join the Army. The students also had the chance to ask questions and get answers about the recruitment process.
The sessions also included detailed information about different ways to join the Army, such as through the National Defence Academy (NDA), Officers Training Academy (OTA), Military Nursing Services (MNS), and Territorial Army (TA). The students learned about the steps involved in the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview and what it takes to become an officer.
The students were told about the requirements to apply, the process to follow, and how they could be selected for each scheme. They were also introduced to the different branches of the Army and the roles of various services.
To make sure the students had all the necessary information, the organizers handed out brochures, posters, and pamphlets with details about the recruitment process.
These outreach programs aimed to inform and inspire the youth of Nagaland about the Agnipath scheme, giving them the tools and knowledge they need to pursue a career in the Army. (PR)
