Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio kicked off the Naga People's Front Manipur State Unit, Twelfth Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2022 at the Senapati District Headquarters.
Chief Minister, in his speech, said that he was excited and privileged to address the NPF Manipur state unit. He said that the election means a lot to the regional party as NPF is the fast movement party for the Naga people. Therefore, Naga unity means a lot for the negotiations and solution. The Chief Minister said they had come to Senapati Manipur to show their solidarity. He also stated that Manipur and Nagaland are neighbours and can grow together side by side, it is a process of nation-building and should continue to adopt the non-violence policy and discuss the process of negotiations. He had further appealed to all the right-thinking Naga people to support and give the mandate for the Naga issue to be resolved and move forward.
A short speech by United Democratic Alliance chairman T R Zeliang said that the NPF party has stood the fittest of time and will continue to face any storm that comes. He said that We are at the crucial juncture of the Naga peace talk, with new social and political occurrences are taking change in the society however, we should not be distracted, he said. During times like this, all of us need to stand together. The NPF party is a people's movement towards a solution for the people, playing an instrumental role with the government of India.
